We have integrated our MotionDesigner software into 3D CAD packages. The motions of each mechanism or machine axis can be viewed to test for clashing for example. Some customers have found this very useful for modelling high speed assembly of complex injection molded parts. Sometimes, a specific path must be generated (by a mechanism) to ensure the parts gripped by the tooling will assemble correctly. Once a motion animation is complete, potential assembly problems can be quickly identified.

The "web" example to the right *** shows a high speed servo controlled spatial pick and place mechanism wih integrated hot air welding for a plastic assembly. This mechanism assembled and welded one part every second.

The motions we integrate in the CAD model can be as sophisticated and as complex as you like. You can have many motions integrated in the one CAD model so that a whole machine can be animated precisely.

There a number of ways we can support your design requirements:

• If you already have a 3D model, then we can create the model quite readily
• If you do not have a 3D model, then we can convert your 2D CAD into 3D parts for you, and then create a perfect animation to show you how your machine will cycle.
• If you do not have the 2D CAD then we can create the 3D models from parts, using our reverse engineering measurment arm
• If you do not have the parts, then we can design them for you, from your design concepts
• If you only have an idea of what you want to do, but do not know how yet, then we might be able to provide you with the design concepts, also.
