| SmoothChain is a precision chain
drive system that completely eliminates polygonal action giving
perfect transfer of motion. Ideal for applications such as high
precision / high speed product conveying indexing. The system
works by using a special transition cam profile which guides
the rollers from the straight path to circular path generated
by the sprocket. |
It gives the following advantages
- Perfect Motion transformation between drive motion and
linear chain motion
- Zero fluctuations in tension arising from chordal action
- Smaller drive sprockets - as few as five teeth
- Can use Standard chain
