Introducing MotionDesigner and MechDesigner

We have two software programs that are suited to the needs of the Packaging Machinery designer. They help the designer design many, complex and interacting mechanisms that are typical of packaging machinery. There are few other tools that are available to help the designer ensure he gives the best motion and best design to the machine's many mechanisms. Most CAD packages primarily cater for the design of stationary parts and assemblies. At best, it is cumbersome to include motions, often only at the end of the design effort.

MotionDesigner and MechDesigner are different. They:

  • Assume you want to watch you design move at any time
  • Assume your mechanisms will be complex
  • Assume your motion designs are complex
  • Allow you to design many interacting mechanisms simultaneously
  • Allow you to cycle the machine model at any time
  • Allow you to edit and update critical dimensions with simple mouse controls

PSMotion believes that the motion design for the moving components should be incorporated into the CAD design as soon as possible, ideally right at the beginning. Our software program, MechDesigner, is a CAD type program that assumes, right at the start, you want things to move. You will be able to build mechanisms and assign a motion, using the integrated MotionDesigner, to any dimension in a mechanism configuration.

MotionDesigner, is seamlessly integrated into MechDesigner for you to design and assign your motion effortlessly. You can even simultaneously watch the mechanism and/or cam change as you edit the motion in the MotionDesigner window. MotionDesigner is the most sophisticated motion design program that we know about.

As such, our software is ideally suited to the needs of the Packaging Machine Designer and has been developed with them in mind.

LineDesigner

In addition to our Packaging Machine Design programs, we have a program that allows yout optimise the line layout, line logic, and line control of a series of machines.
