Blend-Point Editor: Y Values
see also: Blend-Point Editor: X Value
The Blend-Point Y Values correspond to the motion conditions that prevail at the blend point for each of the motion derivatives.
Depending on the Segment Type, you can edit the values of Position, Velocity, Acceleration, and/or Jerk (the Y-Values). This image shows only the Velocity control panel of the Blend-Point Editor.
For each motion derivative (P,V,A,J) there is the:
Blend-Point Editor: Data Field
The Y-Value data field shows the current setting of the blend-point that corresponds to the radio buttons and/or the control buttons .
Blend-Point: Y-Value Radio Buttons
The 2 radio buttons only become active when both Blend-Point: In-Specify and Blend-Point: Out-Specify have been selected to be specified. You use the radio button to select which one you will update in the data field.
Blend-Point: Y-Value: Control Buttons
To use MotionDesigner most effectively, it is important that you fully understand the workings of these controls and become proficient with using them.
See Blend-Point: Control Button Examples for more details.
You can right-mouse-click the data field, as shown. This will allow you to quickly zero the data value or round it to the nearest number, using the spin-box increment as the rounding resolution.
How these motion derivative values are edited is described in Blend-Point: Controls.
