Version 1 Release .03 build 3
7th March 2007
Improvements over V1.03.02
1) If MotionDesigner is last used in a "maximised" window, and closed, then on re-opening MotionDesinger appears maximised.  If either the Data Transfer or the Sweep Display tools were "opened", they did not appear on the window.
This has now been corrected.

Version 1 Release .03 build 2
13th February 2007

Improvements over V1.03.01
1) On-line help link added to Help Toolbar, and an Internet Menu added
2) Improvement to Overlay Trace - some data formats did not overlay correctly
3) Auto Y Scale also looks at the overlay trace for scaling.
3) If you have closed all motions, you can now reopen files - before they remained greyed out.
4) Opening a file with more than two motions required switching active motions before you could select a segment - this is now corrected.
5) Inserting a Blend-Point At a point very near to the end of the active motion design created a motion continuity problem - this has now been solved.
6) Increased the Spin-Box Increment Font size - too small before.

NEW Known BUGS
If you "Insert Blend-point At" within a Segment Type with some parameters that have been set different to the default parameters for the segment type, then the new segments take on the original default parameters.

Version 1 Release .03 build 1
12the December 2006

Improvements over V1.02.02
1) In the Blend-Point Editor, the wording "Node Number" has been replaced with "Blend-Point Number". This is to improve language consistency.
2) You can now save MotionDesigner files as *.shp files ready for Motion4, using Save All As, and Save as type in the dialogue.
Note: If you have "many" named motions open in MotionDesigner (eg Named motions of: Tom, Dick, Harry) , then you will automatically save named files called Tom.shp, Dick.shp and Harry.shp ready for Motion4.  Before you click OK to save as .shp, you should browse to the directory you would to have the motion files saved in.  You must type in a file name, however, even though this is ignored, since the actual file names will be as per the motion name in MotionDesigner.
3) You can now open files in MotionDesigner that you had previously saved in Motion4.

NEW Known BUGS
1) If all motions are closed, then the File | Reopen option does not let you reopen any files - corrected in Version 1.03.02
2) If you open or reopen a file with more than one motion in - then you have to switch motions before you can select a segment - corrected in Version 1.03.02
3) If you delete all but the first motion segment. then set the initial conditions only (using the Blend-Point: Out Specify control button ,then you get an "Access Violation ..." when you increase the acceleration values. - corrected in Version 1.03.02

Version 1 Release .02 build 2
15the November 2006

Improvement over V1.01.02
Data Transfer dialogue could be accidentally be docked into the Menu area. This has now been prevented.

New Known Bugs
If you only have one segment in a motion, and if you "Insert Blend-Point" then the start position "takes on" the final position of the segment. - corrected in Version 1.03.02
If you delete the last segment, and don't "stretch" the adjacent segment to replace the deleted "time", then MotionDesigner may crash. - not known to repeat for a while

Version 1 Release .02 build 1
15the November 2006

Improvement over V1.01.01
DATA TRANSFER
There has been some added functionality to Data Transfer:
  • Overlay graph function added
  • Save Data as *.txt and *.asc icon added
  • Load Data from *.txt or *.asc file icon added.

    DRAG Blend-Point
The Drag blend-point function has been changed slight so that:
  • if none of the blend-point controls are "active" for a particular motion derivative, then the Blend-point cannot be dragged.
  • if only the "match" blend-point control is active for a particular motion derivative, then because the user is dragging the blend-point it is assumed that the user wants to "specify" the condition - typically, the "in-specify" and "match" will become active.
  • the Drag blend-point is more intelligent.

    New Found Known Bugs/Slugs
    (1) Insert Blend-Point at: if spin-box increment is 1, and x axis is in seconds and the motion duration is 1 second, then using the spin-box to insert the new blend-point will confuse the motion - corrected in Version 1.03.02 - spin box increment is more intelligent
The spin-box increment needs to have some intelligence.
