The tree menu allows you to view the structure of the motion design in a simple tree structure.
Each motion has a tree.

I don't find this that useful, but you might find it the best thing since sliced bread.
The tree appears to the left of the graphs, as shown in the image below.

You can use it to:
Hmmm, let's think, ehhh, oh yes:
Rename a Motion by single clicking slowly on the motion name and then typing in a new name - you can do that in a number of other ways too.
Rename a segment to something like "Rise" or "Lift" to help you remember the motion design a little better at a later date.
Each segment is given branch - clicking on the segment in the tree will select the segment in the graphs also.

If the motion is not 360 degrees in duration (that is the segments do not add up to 360 degrees) then a little cross will appear against the 360 symbol at the head of the tree.
Each segment is given a segment type, so you can quickly identify the segment type without clicking on each segment.

Not sure what use the rest of it is!!!!

There is a garbage bin and a graphics area - if you delete a segment then it appears in there..

You can get rid of the tree by clicking the Tree button again.  Do it Now!!
