FAQ: How do MotionDesigner get the sequence of positions so you can plot them?
seel also: What is Motion?
Well, MotionDesigner provides a series of mathematical functions (segment types), that when given, by the program user, a certain duration (segment width) and some other motion conditions at the beginning and end of the function, (using the Blend-Point Editor)) will automatically generate the list of data at equal and small intervals of time (the number of points is determined by a setting called Number of Steps!. MotionDesigner automatically, and continuosuly, updates the list and the plots as you change any of the data.
Which segment type the user selects will depend on many things (exprience, need, preference, and also the flexibility the segment type provides to the designer).
