The Command History form gives a chronological list of the sequence of commands you have made to each of active motion, with the most recent commands given at the top of the list.
the contents of the form is motion specific, so it will update as you switch between motions.

The form can be left open while you continue to edit your motions.
This is what the form looks like after a number of commands.

When you click on a command in the list, you will be asked if you want to undo to that point in the list.  This is exactly like using the undo button repeatedly, but this will allow you to undo in one go.  If you undo many commands then the list will disappear for a short while.   The commands you have undone, will then have a cross, X, next to them to indicate that they have been undone.  The commands below will have a tick, to indicate that they are still active, and can still be undone.

This can take some time, especially if you have been playing with editors.

You can Redo to any point by clicking on a command with a X against it higher up the list.
This can also take some time.

Note: If you undo to a certain point in the Command History List, then make a further edit, then you will not be able to redo the original list. (The new list will now start at the new point, but will still retain the commands not undone before the new edit.
