Use this tool to open a previously saved or copied MotionDesigner file with the .mtd file extension.
A single MotionDesigner .mtd file can have any number of motions - from one to many.
It is therefore convenient to have the many motions you need to design for a single machine in one .mtd file.

The files you have open already in MotionDesigner, are lost.

You can also open a motion with a .shp file extension.
The .shp file extension is for files created in Motion4, a product no longer commercially available.
Unlike MotionDesigner .mtd files, .shp files can only ever have a single motion design.

If you would like to open more than one .shp file, then repeatedly use File: Open and Append
In that way, the .shp files will be added to your editing session in MotionDesigner.
