To quickly save the active or selected motion, click the Save icon,

You can also save the motion as a .shp file, that is native to Motion4 - another motion design program that is no longer commercially available.

You can type in a name of the motion in both cases for the file to be saved as per your name.
Compare Save All As, when saving .shp files
