Every motion that is added has a default name called MotionX with X being the number of motions you have opened in the design session..

This Motion Settings option allows you to rename the motion to something more memorable - such as: Index, Pusher, Case Loader, John, Arm
The motion can be renamed to just about anything you want - there is no realistic limit to the length of the motion name.
If you do use a really looooooooooooooooong names, or you have many motion files open, then some motions may "disappear" off to the right of your screen.
You can click on the right or left arrow-heads to the right of the motion tab list, to scroll to motions that disappear off to the right or left.
If you try to rename a motion to a name that already exists, then a 1 will automatically be appended to the motion name.
